Jun 27, 2009 - Album News: Possible Release Date & A New Song Title A rumored release date for Katharine's much-anticipated sophomore album has surfaced -- and it's sooner rather than later. According to Tommy2 and Direct Current Music, the album will be released on September 22 of this year. DCM also reveals that Kat has been working with singer-songwriter Lucie Silvas (amongst many others, of course). Lucie has worked with a stretch of notable artists including Rachel Stevens, Gareth Gates, S Club 7, Kelly Clarkson and Will Young. She’s also performed with the likes of Macy Gray, Jamie Cullum, and Lionel Richie.
In other album-related news, another new Katharine song has been registered on BMI. The song is entitled "You Still Do" and was co-written by Kat along with Troy Verges (has worked with Celine Dion, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, and many more) and Blair Daly (has written songs for Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and various others).
So, there you have it -- we may have the album by the end of September! Keep checking back here at KMO for all the latest album news as it becomes available. We'll be sure to either confirm or deny the rumored release date as soon as there is official word from either Kat or Verve/Universal.

Jun 17, 2009 - Another New Song Title Katharine is working hard on her new album. As the progress rolls, we seem to be getting more and more song titles! Yet another new song was registered on the BMI Repetoire recently. The song is entitled "Catch Me If You Can". Katharine co-wrote it with songwriters Jeffrey Cohen, Leah Haywood, and Daniel James. Jeff Cohen has worked with big names such as Josh Groban, Nick Lachey, Mandy Moore, and many more. Leah Haywood and Daniel James have written for Ryan Cabrera, Aly & AJ, Vanessa Hudgens, and more. Again, Kat seems to be working with some amazing talent. Sounds very promising!
So, here's a little summary of all the song titles we have thus far: "Last Letter", "Lifetime", "Love's Not A Leaver", "It Won't Hurt So Much", "Why", "Dynamite", "Anybody's Heart", and now "Catch Me If You Can". The best part is that Katharine co-wrote each of these songs (with the exception of "It Won't Hurt So Much"). In case you haven't heard, Kat's new album is expected this fall!

Jun 11, 2009 - Album News: New Song Titles! Two new Katharine song titles have been registered on the BMI song repertoire. The tracks are entitled "Anybody's Heart" and "Dynamite". Katharine co-wrote both songs with powerhouse songwriters Barry Dean and Luke Laird. Both guys have worked extensively with Carrie Underwood amongst many others. Looks like Kat is in good hands! Can't wait to hear the songs.

The ceremony is being held at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California. Kat will be presenting an award to her 'The House Bunny' co-star Rumer Willis. Jun 06, 2009 - "Home" Screening in LA: Photos Last night, Stella McCartney held a screening of "Home" at the Los Angeles Eco Gardens last night and Katharine was in attendance. "Home" is a free internet move about saving the Earth, our "Home", from climate change due to increasing carbon in the atmosphere. Videos from the project can be viewed online here. May 24, 2009 - Memorial Day Concert Rehearsals -- Photos Yesterday, two rehearsals were held for tonight's Memorial Day Concert in Washington DC. As you know, Katharine will be performing two songs at the concert. The first rehearsal was a formal one and the second was a full dress rehearsal.
