Last night, Katharine attended "An Evening with Alexandra Cousteau", a private screening of Cousteau's new short film about conserving the planet. Not only has been hard at work recording a Christmas album that is due out later this year, but she has also been volunteering her time touring the country with Feeding America and ConAgra Foods. As a member of the Feeding America Entertainment Council, she is embarking on a on a cross country journey visiting with children in need and volunteering her time to raise awareness about the critical issue of childhood hunger in the United States, especially during the summer months.

This past weekend, Katharine opened up for Chris Botti at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. She sang a eight-song set at the venue that was the location of the first concert she had ever attended back in 1998. She sang "It's Not Right", "Terrified", "Surrender", "Use Somebody", "Everything Must Change", "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", and a medley of "Had It All" and Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours". 7/10/10 - Opening for Chris Botti @ the Greek Theatre in LA

Katharine has been very involved with charity organization Feeding America lately -- and with good reason! Tonight, she attended and performed at Target's Party for Good in New York City. The event was put together to help assemble 150,000 meals as part of the 2010 National Conference on Volunteering and Service. The meals will be donated to the Food Bank For New York City to help feed New York City families in need this summer.

After the cancellation of Katharine's Harrisburg PA show, the outpouring of upset fans had reached McPhee herself, aside from apologizing she shared some GREAT news! on Twitter, Katharine announced Verve Forecast has green lit a Christmas Album! It will be recorded in L.A. as hinted from a tweet to her "The Pink House" pilot co-star. This will surely be a treat for the holiday season!
